How to Use It Select the Nosepiece: Choose the correct tip size for your rivet (the box indicates it supports 3.2\text{mm}, 4.0\text{mm}, 4.8\text{mm}, 6.0\text{mm}, and 6.4\text{mm}). Screw it onto the front of the tool. Insert the Rivet: Open the tool by pulling the handle away from the head until the lattice is extended. Insert the long mandrel (the "tail") of the rivet into the nosepiece. Place and Set: Insert the head of the rivet into the pre-drilled hole of the materials you are joining. Compress: Push the handle toward the head in a steady motion. The lattice will collapse, pulling the mandrel through the rivet until it snaps off, creating a permanent bond.
