Trimmer Line Head

1. Housing – A durable plastic or metal casing that encloses the trimmer line spool. 2. Spool – Holds the coiled trimmer line and feeds it out as needed. 3. Cutting Line – A nylon or polymer string that spins at high speed to cut vegetation. 4. Bump Feed, Automatic Feed, or Fixed Line Mechanism – Determines how the line is dispensed: Bump Feed: User taps the head on the ground to release more line. Automatic Feed: The line advances automatically as it wears down. Fixed Line: Pre-cut lengths of line are manually inserted.
