How a Prism Pole (3.6 m) is Used : 1. Setup the base Place the prism pole firmly on the ground point or use a bipod for extra stability if available. 2. Extend the pole Adjust the telescopic sections to reach the required 3.6 m height and lock each section securely. 3. Mount the prism Fix the prism or reflector on top and ensure it is tightly secured and aligned. 4. Center the pole Position the pole directly over the survey mark using visual alignment or a plumb line if needed. 5. Check vertical alignment Use the circular bubble level to make sure the pole is perfectly upright. 6. Measure the point The survey instrument (total station or GNSS) targets the prism and records data. 7. Record and repeat Confirm readings, then move to the next point and repeat the same steps.
