Non-biodegradable – environmentally persistent unless recycled. Other Characteristics Easily cut and shaped – can be cut with hot wire or sharp blades. Flammable – burns easily, sometimes treated with flame retardants. Cost-effective – inexpensive compared to other insulation materials.
