Stearic acid is a naturally occurring saturated fatty acid used in cosmetic formulations to improve texture, stability, and overall product performance. It is a white, waxy solid obtained from plant oils or animal fats. Functions: Thickening agent Co-emulsifier (helps oil and water mix) Emulsion stabilizer Surfactant Cleansing agent Foam booster (especially in soaps and shaving creams) Texture enhancer Opacifying agent (gives products a creamy, opaque appearance)
