These screws have a sharp point to drill in wood and metal sheet, and coarse thread design to help grab into metal studs. The Phillips drive has #2 x-shaped slot that accepts the Phillips driver and is designed to allow the driver to slip out of the head to help prevent over-tightening and damage to the thread or fastener.
