The narrative begins at a celebratory parade honoring the hero duo. Clank surprises Ratchet with a repaired Dimensionator—a device capable of opening paths to other universes. However, the evil Dr. Nefarious steals the device, causing reality itself to collapse. The heroes are ripped apart and scattered across a dystopian, alternate dimension where Nefarious always wins.To save the multiverse, Ratchet and Clank must reunite. Along the way, they team up with Rivet—a fiercely independent, cybernetic-armed Lombax resistance fighter—and her cheerful robot companion, Kit.
