Pathology Grade Paraffin Wax – Laboratory Embedding Medium

2 photos
Product Description
Pathology grade paraffin wax is a high-purity embedding medium used in histology and pathology laboratories to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination. After tissue fixation, the specimen is infiltrated with molten paraffin wax, which provides structural support so very thin sections (microtomy) can be cut without distortion.
This type of paraffin wax is specially formulated to have a consistent melting point, good infiltration characteristics, and minimal impurities — all essential for producing uniform, high-quality tissue sections and clear staining results. It is commonly supplied in blocks, pellets, or slabs and heated in a paraffin oven or bath prior to embedding.
