Manual Vacuum Aspiration Kit (Mva)

An MVA kit is used for uterine evacuation in cases of incomplete miscarriage, induced abortion (especially in early pregnancy), and endometrial biopsy. It’s a safer, low-cost, and effective alternative to dilation and curettage (D&C), especially in low-resource settings. Key Components: MVA Aspirator: Handheld, syringe-like vacuum device that creates suction manually. Cannulae: Flexible, sterile plastic tubes (sizes 4–12 mm) inserted into the uterus to remove contents. Adapters & Valves: For connecting cannulae securely to the aspirator. Sterilizable or Disposable: Some kits are reusable after sterilization, others are single-use.
