This piece represents an African woman dancing with an extremely long skirt connecting her with the land. Her entire form blossoming like a flower against the vast savannah. Her movement becomes the landscape, her spirit becomes the horizon, and her skirt flows like rooted petals stretching into the earth. This painting represents the spirit of cherishing our own cultural roots, a spirit as gentle, resilient, powerful and pure as that of a woman.
