The kiln is ideal for any business that relies on a large amount of charcoal use such as tented camps, nyama choma stands and farms. Easily make your own charcoal from tree branch prunings, dried maize cobs, bamboo offcuts or even coconut husks. Approximate yield is 100kgs biomass creates 25-30kgs charcoal. Yield depends on the density of the feedstock – if it is a light material such as maize cobs, a full kiln would yield about 15kgs charcoal. With a hardwood such as Prosopis juliflora, a full kiln would yield about 45kgs charcoal.
We also offer the option to add on a smoke trap pipe, which enables you to collect 5-10liters wood smoke vinegar, ideal for pest control and fertilizer.
