The SRX715 is engineered for professional sound reinforcement, offering a balance between high output and portability. The enclosure is constructed from premium-grade 15 mm, 11-ply birch plywood, which provides superior acoustic dampening compared to plastic or lower-grade wood. It is finished in JBL’s rugged black DuraFlexTM, a highly durable coating resistant to scratches and impact. The front is protected by a CNC-machined, 16-gauge steel grille lined with acoustically transparent foam, giving it a clean, professional aesthetic while protecting the internal drivers from dust and moisture. Driver Architecture and Engineering This speaker utilizes JBL’s patented Differential Drive technology to maximize power handling while significantly reducing the weight of the magnets.
