Inhalation Spacer (Paediatric)

A spacer is a device used with an inhaler (also called a puffer) to help deliver medication to the lungs more effectively and easily, especially for children and those who find it difficult to coordinate breathing with inhaler activation. It's a clear plastic tube with a mouthpiece or mask on one end and a connection for the inhaler on the other. When used with an inhaler, the medication is released into the spacer, allowing for a slower, more controlled inhalation.
