Product Description
Light Source: Tungsten‐halogen bulb (commonly 24 V)
Illumination / Brightness: Typically around 50,000 to 100,000 lux, depending on model
Color Temperature: Around 3,300 K to 4,500 K, giving a near‐daylight / warm‐white light
Color Rendering Index (CRI): High, often ≥ 90–95%, for accurate tissue color rendering
Spot Diameter / Focus: Adjustable; typical head sizes allow a focal spot of 160–280 mm (or similar)
Depth of Illumination: Can reach ≥ 500 mm, giving good penetration into surgical area
Temperature / Heat: Halogen lights generate heat, so there is usually a filter or design to limit heating of the patient and the surrounding area. The rise in temperature at the surgeon’s head is often kept very low (≤2 °C in some models)
