Fibre Optical Power Meter

An optical power meter is a handheld test instrument used in fiber‐optic networks to measure the strength of optical signals. It detects light power (usually in dBm or mW) coming out of a fiber and, when paired with a light source, helps technicians verify link loss, check signal levels, and troubleshoot installations. The meter features a pìhotodetector, a calibrated display and interchangeable adapters (e.g., FC/SC/LC) for different fiber connectors. Accurate power measurement ensures proper fiber performance and helps maintain reliable communication.
