Fiber Buffer Tube

A fiber buffer tube is a protective, flexible plastic tube used in fiber optic cables to house and shield optical fibers. It provides mechanical protection against moisture, physical stress, and environmental damage while allowing the fibers to move slightly inside the tube to reduce strain. Buffer tubes can be loose (allowing fiber movement for outdoor cables) or tight (closely bonded for indoor use).
