Fetal Doppler

Purpose: Used to detect and monitor the fetal heartbeat during pregnancy. Technology: Uses Doppler ultrasound to pick up fetal heart movement and convert it into an audible sound. Gestational Use: Can typically detect heartbeat from 10–12 weeks of pregnancy onward. Design: Handheld device with a probe. May include digital display of heart rate. Use Case: Commonly used by obstetricians, midwives, and sometimes at home by expectant mothers (with guidance).
