The Pioneer Compact 8 in. x 5-1/4 in., 160-Watt Active Subwoofer features a built-in 160-watt max Class D amplifier, an aluminum cone, a specially designed acoustic-suspension enclosure and Digital Bass Control (a technology developed by Pioneer to tailor frequency response and increase the performance). At only 11 in. x 7-7/8 in. x 2-3/4 in. H in overall size, this compact powered subwoofer produces deep, powerful bass. The Digital Bass Control provides 2 selectable listening modes—Deep and Dynamic—enhancing system optimization and tuning the output to complement various musical styles and vehicle types. The integrated amplifier protection circuit monitors the woofer as it plays and will respond accordingly if the woofer begins to exceed its maximum parameters by ramping down the output until the woofer is within its factory range again.
