Product Description
Can I use normal soil on seed trays?”
Short answer? You can but I don’t.
I used to use normal soil in trays. And let me tell you maina, I learnt the hard way.
Now I prefer cocopeat, peat moss or vermiculite. Why?
• They retain moisture evenly - no waterlogging, no drying out too fast.
• They don’t compact like normal soil -meaning better aeration for young roots.
• During transplanting, seedlings come out effortlessly - clean roots, minimal shock.
• The media is clean - no weed seeds, no hidden pests, no surprise diseases.
Normal soil might look “strong,” but in trays it can suffocate roots and stress seedlings before they even start life properly.
