Cocamidipropyl Betane ( CAPB)

Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) is an amphoteric surfactant synthesized from coconut fatty acids and dimethylaminopropylamine. It is a clear to pale yellow, viscous liquid that is soluble in water. Because it carries both positive and negative charges depending on the pH, it is compatible with many other surfactants and is valued for its mild cleansing properties. Uses of CAPB Cleansing agent Removes dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin and hair. Foaming agent Produces a rich, stable lather in shampoos, body washes, and liquid soaps. Foam booster Enhances the amount and stability of foam when combined with other surfactants. Viscosity modifier Helps thicken liquid cleansing products, improving their texture. Conditioning agent Leaves hair and skin feeling softer and less dry by reducing the harsh effects of stronger detergents.
