Black & Decker has a proud heritage when it comes to drilling. Filing the first patent in 1914 for the world’s first portable powered drill with pistol grip and trigger switch, in 1946 Black & Decker launched the home utility drill giving rise to the global consumer power tool market. With a choice of power options, keyed or keyless chucks and many extra features, these corded drills can be switched to hammer action for use on a wide variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic and masonry. Additional features found on selected units include variable speed, reversing, secondary handle, depth stop and spindle lock.
