Benzalkonium Chlorides (Bac)

Benzalkonium chloride (BAC) is a quaternary ammonium compound used in skincare primarily as a preservative, surfactant, and antiseptic. At very low, controlled concentrations (<0.1%), it is safely used to keep cosmetic products sterile, clean minor scrapes, and remove excess surface oils.
