Battlefield 2042 is a 2021 online-only, multiplayer first-person shooter developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is the seventeenth installment in the long-running Battlefield franchise. Breaking away from series tradition, the game completely removes the traditional single-player campaign to focus entirely on large-scale multiplayer warfare.
