Product Description
Volkswagen (VW) vehicles, the Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP)—also known as the in-tank fuel pump—is located inside the gas tank beneath the rear seat.
Its primary job is to lift fuel out of the tank and send it forward to the engine bay at a constant, low pressure (roughly 4 to 7 bar or 58 to 100 psi depending on the model). On modern direct-injected VW engines (TSI/TFSI), the LPFP feeds the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) mounted on the engine block.
