Advanced Interpretation

Advanced Interpretation Kenyan Sign Language generally covers Sign Language concepts for training advanced sign language interpretation. It exposes the student to Sign Language grammar, Interpretation, Disability, Communication skills and, Code of ethics and conduct for sign language interpreters.The skills acquired in this Level will provide opportunity for the interpreters to develop competencies in observing and interpreting specialized signed communication, Sign reading written text, Interpreting signed or voiced information, Writing and presenting various genres using Sign Language structure. The sign language skills shall also form the basis for further language development and specialization in the areas of their interest; legal, media, religious and medical fields.
