Product Description
3D wheel alignment uses cameras and computer software to analyze the position of all four wheels in real time.
A four-post car lift is a drive-on lift with four platforms (runways) that support the vehicle by its tires, keeping the suspension in a natural, loaded state.
How it works
The vehicle is driven onto the four-post lift.
Targets (reflectors) are attached to each wheel.
Cameras capture the 3D position of the wheels.
The system calculates key alignment angles:
Camber (tilt of the wheel)
Caster (steering pivot angle)
Toe (direction wheels point)
A technician adjusts suspension components while viewing live data on a screen.
Why the four-post lift is used
Keeps the car level and stable
Allows alignment under normal driving load conditions
Provides space for rolling compensation (moving the car slightly to calibrate sensors)
