2tb Toshiba Internal Surveillance HDD

A 2 TB internal hard disk drive designed for surveillance systems, in the 3.5‐inch SATA III (6 Gb/s) form factor. It spins at 5400 RPM and uses SMR (Shingled Magnetic Recording) optimized for continuous video recording workloads. The drive supports 24/7 operation, high workload rates (~180 TB/year), and is engineered for reliable footage capture in DVR/NVR systems. It includes Toshiba’s Dynamic Cache and Stable Platter technologies for better sustained writes and vibration resistance, with an MTTF of up to ~1,000,000 hours and typical sustained data rates ~184 MB/s. The drive often supports multiple cameras simultaneously (up to ~32 for the 2 TB model) and is suited to continuous write‐intensive surveillance tasks.
