Rib Peeling: The machine first "shaves" or peels off the longitudinal and transverse ribs of the TMT bar to create a perfect cylinder. Thread Rolling: Cold rollers then press into the steel to form a parallel (straight) thread. Unlike cutting a thread, rolling the thread displaces the metal, which preserves the cross-sectional area and makes the connection stronger than the base metal.
