Fibre Downlead

Down lead is a soft, lightweight material traditionally used in pencils and some artistic applications. Despite its name, it does not actually contain lead; modern pencil cores are made from graphite mixed with clay. The term “lead” comes from historical confusion when graphite was first discovered and mistaken for the metal lead. Down lead can also refer to fine metallic lead particles used in certain industrial contexts, though these applications require careful handling due to toxicity concerns and environmental safety regulations.
