Key Management Practices Fertilizer: Apply 80 kg of Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) fertilizer per acre each season and 2–4 tonnes of well-cured manure to maintain soil fertility. Harvesting: The first harvest occurs about 3–5 months after planting. Subsequent harvesting occurs every 8–12 weeks.
