Product Description
Use 2–3 kg of seed per acre, drilled in rows 50 cm apart. Cover lightly with soil (not more than 2 cm deep) and mulch to maintain moisture, removing the mulch after 5–7 days when germination begins.
Root Splits: Plant 64,000 to 96,000 splits per acre at a spacing of 50 cm between rows and 25 cm within rows. Splits should be planted into moist, well-prepared soil during the rainy season.
Key Management Practices
Fertilizer: Apply 80 kg of Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) fertilizer per acre each season and 2–4 tonnes of well-cured manure to maintain soil fertility.
Harvesting: The first harvest occurs about 3–5 months after planting. Subsequent harvesting occurs every 8–12 weeks.
Management: It is suitable for "cut-and-carry" systems, silage, or grazing, and can persist for up to 20 years with proper management.
